I'm going to get a Droid and join the rest of civilization! I wish I could find an ap that plays NSV files on my Droid. I can't even find one that would play NSV files on my ppc. Who do I need to blackmail to get this going?

If I could write this myself, I would do it. Do I nag the Winamp people?

I've gotten so addicted to the Video channel, that I wish you (CRN.net) had a TV Guide page!

When I was a kid, I made "rocket radios" from toilet paper cores, wire, a scuffed up razor blade, and a chunk of a graphite pencil all balanced with a bent safety pin, a battery and a cheap earphone. WXYZ kept me up late at night listening to all these stories--along with all the other stations that were in the mix. To hear them again is like sweeping through five decades with a time machine all at once. How cool is that?

Cheers,
Buzz.

Assuming the Android has a flash player of some type as an app, I was wondering if it is able to view flash videos at http://Veetle.com . I've been considering using their service converting the current video nsv to flash for broadcast.
I've already tested this with various browsers and it works fairly reliably. If someone with a droid could test it with the flash video feeds at Veetle.com and report back it would be very helpful.

I've read that Ustream.com may work with droid as well. If anyone can test these services for use with the Droid please let me know. We could up the service up and running very quickly.

Thank you for your help and support!

Update on this project....I was surprised when I found out I have a teenaged niece with the Google Android! We're hoping to get together soon and test some things to see what direction we can go.

I did find that streaming FLV with ustream.com requires some software changes to the actual video layer used that wound make it very difficult to use. I'm hoping to do some testing with veetle.com sometime this week. When I had toyed with it a few months ago it seemed at first glance to be something that would work a bit more comfortably for us.

Thanks to the folks who make great suggestions...we truly appreciate your help!
